MSc Kavous Nourimand

Kavous Nourimand, MSc, P.Eng., is a professional engineer with a strong focus on providing engineering services to the oil and gas industries.

He has a keen interest in front-end and detail design, troubleshooting, optimization, and development projects for In-Situ (SAGD) facilities.

Kavous possesses management and leadership skills which have been instrumental in successfully delivering engineering projects in various settings.

His expertise includes strong technical skills and plant design experience in EPC firms and oil and gas companies, with an operational background in oil refineries.

He has played pivotal roles in leading sustainable and environmental projects that concentrate on plant optimization, flaring reduction, water usage integration, and energy conservation.

Education-wise, Kavous Nourimand completed a Studied Program Certificate in the In-Residence Leadership Program at Harvard Business School, holds an MSc in Environmental Engineering from Sharif University of Technology, and obtained a BSc in Process Engineering from the same university.

With a rich organizational background, he currently serves as the Director of In Situ Engineering at Suncor Energy, having previously held positions such as Director of In Situ Process Engineering, Manager of Process Engineering at the same organization, as well as key roles at Bantrel, CH2M HILL, Research Institute of Petroleum Industry (RIPI), and NIOC (Shiraz Refinery, Arak Refinery).
