Katy Shamitz

Katy Shamitz is a passionate educator and school counselor who has dedicated her career to helping children unlock their full potential. With a Master's degree in Counseling and School Counseling from Southern Connecticut State University and a Bachelor's degree in Education and Psychology from Stonehill College, she has built a successful career in education and youth development. She founded two heart-centered educational organizations on Boston's South Shore: Skills for Living and The Chapman Farm School, and served as a School Guidance Counselor at Norwell Public Schools. Through her work, Katy teaches that connecting kids with like-minded peers helps them grow socially- and creates opportunities for real friendship. She is an energetic public speaker, blogger, and provides memorable talks and training opportunities for parents, educators, and health and human service professionals.
