Katrina Ingram

Katrina Ingram is the founder of Ethically Aligned AI, a social enterprise start-up focused on artificial intelligence and ethics. With a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing & Communications from Simon Fraser University and a Master of Arts in Communications and Technology (MACT), specializing in Artificial Intelligence and ethics, from the University of Alberta, Katrina has devoted her career to mastering the intersection of technology and ethics. Her research has focused on understanding the ethical choices of AI developers, identifying gaps in the process and the use of ethics tools. Katrina is on a mission to help companies build better AI.

In addition to her work with Ethically Aligned AI, Katrina has a rich and diverse professional career. She previously served as the Host and Producer of the Back to School Again podcast, exploring how adults navigate higher education. Katrina has also been a faculty member at the Centre for Arts and Cultural Management at Grant MacEwan University and served as the Chief Operating Officer at Cannabis At Work, a consulting firm focused on the cannabis industry. Prior to that, she was a Consultant (Contract) in Health Accelerator at TEC Edmonton and the Chief Operating Officer at CKUA Radio Network, where she directed sales and marketing efforts.

With expertise in sales and marketing, leadership, and ethics, Katrina brings a wealth of experience to everything she does. Her driving passion is to help individuals and companies make technology - and specifically AI - work for everyone, ethically and sustainably.
