Katie Stanton

Katie Jacobs Stanton is an accomplished American executive, currently serving as the Founder and General Partner of Moxxie Ventures, a venture capital firm she established in 2019. Moxxie Ventures focuses on investing in early-stage startups, particularly those led by underrepresented founders. The firm recently raised a $95 million third fund, emphasizing its commitment to diversity in the startup ecosystem.13

Before founding Moxxie Ventures, Stanton held several significant roles in major tech companies. She was the Chief Marketing Officer at Color Genomics, Vice President of Global Media at Twitter, and also worked at Google and Yahoo. Her career began in finance as a banker at JP Morgan Chase. In addition to her corporate roles, Stanton served in the Obama administration as a Special Advisor at the U.S. State Department, where she utilized social media to enhance citizen engagement.23

Stanton is recognized for her contributions to the industry, having been listed among Forbes' 56th most powerful women in the world and featured in various prominent publications. She has also been actively involved in investing, co-founding the #Angels investment collective, which aims to increase female representation in venture capital.23

Her educational background includes a B.A. in Political Science from Rhodes College and a Master's degree from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs.2
