Kathryn McKee, SPHR, SHRM-SCP

Kathryn McKee is a highly experienced HR professional who has worked in the manufacturing, entertainment, and financial services industries and is well-known as an author and speaker. She also volunteers as a leader for both non-profit and for-profit boards of directors.

Currently, Kathryn serves as an instructor for several upper division courses at UCSB Extension, including a course for the Technology Management Program within the College of Engineering.

She holds a B.A. in Sociology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a Certificate from the Executive Program at the University of California, Los Angeles - The Anderson School of Management.

Throughout her career, Kathryn McKee has been involved in various organizations, including serving as an instructor at UCSB, owning Human Resources Consortia, and holding leadership positions at organizations like Santa Barbara Human Resources Association, RedCross Santa Barbara Chapter, City of Santa Barbara Civil Service Commission, and more.

Additionally, she has worked as an author, in media relations, and in consulting roles for companies such as Right Management, Marshalll-Qualtec, and National Institute for Prevention of Workplace Violence, Inc.

Kathryn McKee's previous corporate roles include Senior Vice President of Human Resources at both Standard Chartered Bank and First Interstate Bank Ltd, Senior Vice President of Compensation and Benefits at First Interstate Bancorp, and managerial positions at Twentieth-Century Fox Film Corp and Mattel, Inc.
