Katherine Haynes is a Senior Program Officer at the California Health Care Foundation (CHCF), where she focuses on advancing health equity, particularly for Black Californians. Her work is part of the People-Centered Care team, which aims to improve health care access and quality for underserved populations in California.124
Before joining CHCF, Haynes held significant roles at the Institute for the Future and Kaiser Permanente Northern California, where she emphasized diversity and health equity initiatives. She also served as the founding director of the Technology and Information Exchange Core at the University of California San Francisco, leading efforts in community collaborative research related to HIV/AIDS.13
In addition to her role at CHCF, Haynes has been elected as Chair of the Board of Trustees at American Jewish World Service (AJWS), where she applies her expertise in strategic planning and equity to support global human rights initiatives.1 She holds a bachelor's degree in humanities from the University of California, Berkeley, and an MBA from UCLA's Anderson School of Management.13
