Katara Williams is a highly accomplished professional with a versatile skillset in education administration, public policy, community outreach, broadcasting, and public affairs. She holds a Ph.D. in Public Policy Analysis from Southern University and Agricultural and Mechanical College at Baton Rouge. With an impressive track record in various leadership roles, she has worked as the Chief of Staff at Southern University and A&M College System, Executive Director at LA Highway Safety Commission, Associate Commissioner for Public Affairs at State of Louisiana, and Assistant Commissioner for Public Affairs at Louisiana Board of Regents.

As Chief of Staff at the Southern University and A&M College System, Katara spearheaded strategic planning and policy development initiatives, lead efforts to enhance the university's reputation, and managed the day-to-day operations of the institution. As Executive Director of the LA Highway Safety Commission, she helped develop and implement policies to reduce highway accidents, injuries, and fatalities in Louisiana. Her work as Associate Commissioner and Assistant Commissioner for Public Affairs for the State of Louisiana and Louisiana Board of Regents involved developing communication and outreach strategies, managing press relations, and promoting public awareness about government programs and initiatives.
