Karl Littler
Karl Littler is the Senior Vice-President, Public Affairs for the Retail Council of Canada, where he focuses on advocating for Canada's retail merchants on various public policy issues such as taxation, trade, payments, and pensions at federal and provincial levels.
With a background in public affairs consultancy, Karl has provided strategic advice to clients in sectors including financial services, retail, energy, healthcare, and entertainment.
Prior to his current role, Karl held key positions in the Canadian government, such as Deputy Chief of Staff in the Office of the Prime Minister, Senior Tax Policy Advisor to the Minister of Finance, and Chief of Staff to the Secretary of State for International Financial Institutions.
Internationally, Karl has been involved in election observer missions and provided training to Iraqi parliamentarians on budgeting and tax policy in Baghdad.
Karl Littler holds a Juris Doctor degree from Dalhousie University and is a member of the Ontario Bar since 1993. He completed his undergraduate studies in History and Political Science at the University of Toronto.
