Karissa Grasty

Karissa Grasty is the Associate Dean for Advancement at the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health, a position she has held since November 1, 2017.34 In this role, she leads the school's fundraising efforts and donor engagement initiatives.

Grasty is an experienced development professional with a diverse background in higher education and nonprofit fundraising.4 Her expertise lies in major gift fundraising, which she has honed during her tenure at UNC Gillings.2 As Associate Dean for Advancement, she oversees a team of advancement professionals dedicated to supporting education, research, and practice at the Gillings School through collaboration with donors at all levels.1

In addition to her role as Associate Dean, Grasty also serves as the Executive Director of the Public Health Foundation. This dual position allows her to effectively champion initiatives that promote public health both within the university and in the broader community.

Grasty's responsibilities include:
