Karishma Asthana

Karishma Asthana is a security consultant specializing in threat and vulnerability management with a unique focus on human friction in security implementation. She is dedicated to staying abreast of the evolving threat landscape due to rapid technological advancements and holds a GWAPT certification, actively pursuing her OSCP certification. Apart from her security expertise, Karishma is a driving force in advocating for Persons with Disabilities, leading the SoCal Disability Inclusion Initiative at Accenture.

Karishma completed her B.S. in Computer Science from Trinity College-Hartford and attended Westwood High School for her secondary education. She has a diverse background with experience in various roles within security consulting, teaching, research, and advocacy.

Currently, Karishma serves as a Security Consultant at Accenture, utilizing her skills and knowledge to strengthen organizations' security postures. Prior to her current role, she held positions as a Security Sr. Analyst and Security Analyst within Accenture, gaining valuable experience in threat identification and mitigation.

Before her corporate roles, Karishma honed her teaching skills as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant for Intro to Computer Systems at Trinity College-Hartford. She also gained practical experience through internships at Ping Identity and Gravitant, an IBM company, contributing to product development and research projects.

Furthermore, Karishma's dedication to education and community engagement is evident through her involvement as a former Teaching Assistant, Student Representative, and Founder of various initiatives at Trinity College-Hartford. Her commitment to inclusive practices extends beyond her professional life as she previously tutored at Kumon North America, Inc. and founded pressurebusters.org, highlighting her multifaceted interests and contributions to diverse communities.
