Tim Byrd is a seasoned information security professional with over 15 years of experience. As the Executive Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer at TIAA, he has focused on aligning technology initiatives with business goals to enhance security, reduce risk, and ensure resiliency. Tim has extensive knowledge in threat management, cybersecurity analytics, threat and threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and process automation/ standardization. He is also a specialist in Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDOS), Application Security SDLC, Insider Threat, Third-Party Security, and Red/Blue/Black Teaming. Tim has a degree in Management Information Systems from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and has served on advisory boards for UNC Charlotte College of Computing and Informatics and NYU Tandon School of Engineering: Graduate School. His professional experience includes roles as EVP and Head of Strategic Assessments and Engagement at Wells Fargo, Senior Vice President in Enterprise Security Assessments, Information Protection, and Infrastructure Information Security Executive at Bank of America.
