Karina’s educational background is as diverse and robust as her career. She studied at prestigious institutions, including the Université catholique de Louvain, where she gained insights into social sciences and communication strategies. Furthermore, her studies at the Faculty of Law, University of Bucharest, equipped her with a solid understanding of legal frameworks that govern social innovation and sustainability efforts. In addition, her time at the Faculty of Political Science at the National School of Political Science and Public Administration contributed to her ability to critically analyze political landscapes and their impact on social policy.
Karina holds a Master’s degree in Communication & Public Relations from the David Ogilvy Faculty of Communication Public Relations, which has significantly enhanced her ability to communicate complex sustainability concepts to diverse audiences effectively. She also completed a Postgraduate Course in International Relations at the Romanian Diplomatic Institute, further broadening her understanding of the global context in which social impact initiatives operate.

Throughout her career, Karina has held numerous influential positions, each contributing to her development as a leader in social innovation. She is the co-founder and currently oversees Outreach & Partnerships at Fructify Network, an organization dedicated to nurturing impactful businesses and fostering sustainable practices. Her previous role as Partnerships Manager at the World Innovations Forum Foundation involved identifying and leveraging synergies between innovators and impactful organizations globally.
Karina was also a CSP - IREX Fellow in 2016 at 1776, where she honed her skills in entrepreneurship and innovation. Her role as a lecturer in Project Design and Implementation at the Belgian-Italian Chamber of Commerce allowed her to contribute to the education of future leaders while sharing her knowledge on project management and sustainable initiatives.
Notably, Karina co-founded We Love Digital Unirii and served as the Project Manager and Founder at The Association for Small Producers (Asociația Mici Producători), where she played a significant role in advocating for small producers in Romania and elevating their contributions to sustainability and local economies.
In her capacity as Business Development Manager for Romania at Beijing 1421 Business Consulting Co. Ltd, Karina successfully drove business growth and established crucial partnerships. Additionally, Karina worked as an External Relations Advisor at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in Romania, where she contributed to the formulation of policies supporting sustainable agriculture and rural development. She has also made her mark in the field of policy and advocacy as an assistant at CONCORD Europe, where she engaged with international stakeholders to foster collaboration on social issues.
Early in her career, Karina worked as a Project Officer at the National Association of Human Resources Specialists, and she began her journey as an Intelligence Analyst for International & European Affairs at the Romanian Government. These foundational roles equipped her with analytical skills and a comprehensive understanding of both local and international affairs.
