Karen Suchanek
Karen Suchanek is an experienced educator with a diverse background in instructing and training. She has worked in various states, including North Carolina and Virginia, and has served as a contracted teacher and education administrator for the Department of Defense in multiple countries around the world. Karen holds a doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction, a master’s degree in Elementary Education, and an Education Specialist/Post-graduate degree in Curriculum Development and Instruction. Her skill set includes mature judgment, strong communication, relationship-building, motivation, administrative prowess, and the ability to handle sensitive situations with tact and diplomacy. She has successfully engaged with both youth and adults, showcasing her deep understanding of diverse social, political, and cultural backgrounds. Additionally, Karen has experience as a Small Business Owner and Director of an English Immersion Summer program, the NOVA DC Summer Academy.
