With over 25 years of extensive experience in Human Resources and executive leadership within the high tech industry, Karen Scussel is a seasoned professional known for delivering business strategies and driving organizational effectiveness.

Karen also boasts over a decade of NonProfit management and leadership experience in the child welfare and social services sector, showcasing her versatility and commitment to making a difference in the community.

Her skill set encompasses a wide range of competencies including Business Strategy and Execution, Organizational Design and Effectiveness, Change Management, Talent Management, Workforce Planning, Board Governance, and NonProfit Development.

Karen Scussel pursued her education at Washington University in St. Louis - Olin Business School, where she studied MBA in General Management with a focus on Human Resources. She also holds a BA in Psychology from Vanderbilt University, reflecting her dedication to understanding human behavior and organizational dynamics.

Throughout her career, Karen has been actively involved in various organizations, including serving as a Volunteer at the Local Community and holding key leadership positions such as the Executive Director and Interim Executive Director at Child Advocates of Silicon Valley.

Her tenure at Child Advocates of Silicon Valley also includes roles such as Program Director, Education Programs Manager, Advocate Supervisor, and Advocate, showcasing her hands-on involvement and commitment to supporting children in need.

Prior to her nonprofit roles, Karen Scussel held significant positions in the corporate sector, serving as the Vice President of Human Resources Operations at Agilent Technologies, Inc., the Group/Sector HR Manager at HP, and the Human Resources Manager at Hewlett-Packard, where she honed her expertise in HR and leadership.
