Justin Spraggins is an entrepreneur and founder of multiple successful apps including Looksee and Unmute. Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Justin began his entrepreneurial journey at the age of 15 and later pursued an acting career in New York City and Los Angeles. However, after booking the first-ever iPhone commercial, he became interested in technology and the potential it held for connecting people.
Since 2011, Justin has been creating socially relevant apps that have been featured by Apple as Best New Apps. His photo-sharing app, Looksee, gained immense popularity in the app store and garnered over 1 million downloads. In 2016, he founded Unmute and raised $2.2 million from venture capitalists such as Greylock Partners, Betaworks, and former NBA commissioner David Stern.
Unmute's mission is to facilitate deep connections through voice and has hosted 3.3 million minutes of streamed content on its platform. Justin recently launched a new app called BEEP, the first-ever chat app that enables users to add iconic, pop culture sound bites to their voice messages.
Furthermore, Justin founded 9 Count, Inc. with Alex Hofmann in 2018 and raised a seed round to build the largest online community. He studied business at Miami University and has a background in screenwriting and producing in the film industry.
