Julius Givens is a dedicated police officer with the Chicago Police Department, committed to ensuring public trust, accountability, and effectiveness in policing. Julius' passion for helping the community started before joining the force, founding The Explorer Program in 2014, which aimed to provide a platform for children to succeed in tackling local, national, and global issues. Before joining the police, Julius worked in the technology sector, including roles as a DevX account executive at Uber and a senior consultant at MarkITx. Julius has an impressive educational background, studying Reserve Officer Training Corps at US Army, Bachelor of Arts and Sciences degrees in History, Military Science, and Cultural Awareness at the University of Missouri-Columbia, and attending De Smet Jesuit High School. Alongside these achievements, Julius has served as a member of The Chicago Leadership Alliance, a guest lecturer at the Start-Up Institute, and on the GradCouncil for OneGoal Chicago. A passionate believer in democracy, Julius has also raised funds and hosted national candidates in Chicago.
