Julio Moreno
Associate Professor at University of San Francisco
Julio Moreno is a professor of history and affiliated engineering faculty at the University of San Francisco.12 Born in rural El Salvador, he fled the country's civil war at age 14 and came to the United States as an undocumented immigrant.1
Moreno's academic achievements include:
- Recipient of research fellowships from the Library of Congress and the Institute for Historical Studies at the University of Texas in Austin1
- Author of books including "Yankee Don't Go Home" on Mexican nationalism and American business culture1
- Co-author of "Reflections," a social studies book series for California elementary schools1
