Julian Counihan

Julian Counihan, an accomplished digital industrial and emerging technology investor, has made a name for himself as a General Partner and co-founder of Schematic Ventures. With a focus on start-ups in the supply chain, manufacturing, and transportation sectors, Julian leverages his investment banking and software development background to provide crucial strategic guidance to portfolio companies.

Before founding Schematic Ventures, Julian served as a Principal at Red Sea Ventures, a Vice President in Risk Management at Citi, and an Associate in TMT Investment Banking at Citi. In addition, he was a CTO and front-end developer at a New York media start-up, and a software developer at Fortna.

Julian received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) from the University of Virginia. His contributions to the industry have also been recognized through his work serving as a Board Observer for SVT Robotics and as a Board Member for CognitOps and Plus One Robotics. Additionally, Julian co-founded the #DistributionTech Event Series, which focuses on discussing the challenges and opportunities in the distribution sector.
