J.R. Storment

J.R. Storment is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in cloud financial management, web platform development, and mentoring.

He currently serves as the Executive Director of the FinOps Foundation, a program under the Linux Foundation, and is a co-author of the renowned book 'Cloud FinOps: Collaborative, Real-Time Cloud Financial Management' published by O'Reilly Media.

Previously, J.R. was actively involved in various roles at Cloudability, a company that was later acquired by Apptio, where he held positions such as GM of Cloud, VP of Product, and GM of EMEA.

Over his 25-year career, J.R. has helped numerous prominent organizations like GE, Nike, BP, Atlassian, Uber, and Spotify in optimizing and analyzing their cloud financial management strategies.

Apart from his professional roles, J.R. also has experience as a mentor at Techstars, an investor at Big Island Brewhaus, and has held key positions in several other organizations focused on marketing, web development, and customer success.

His diverse background ranges from being a Co-Founder at Cloudability to serving as the Chief Customer Officer, Co-Founder, GM, and Head of Product & Marketing in various companies, showcasing his versatile skill set and expertise.
