Invited to attend a week-long production and subsea drilling educational camp at Shell’s training facility in Roberts, LA. Completed computer simulations of oil rig startups and health and safety training, and attended lectures led by senior managers.

Shell Drilling and Production Camp 

Obtained a diverse set of experiences as a reliability, maintenance, and project engineer in a chemical plant. Assisted operations and HSE departments as well as lead my own projects to improve the efficiency of the plant.

Developed a technical procedure to demonstrate capacity of existing cooling water pumps to support a $60 million expansion project. Test allowed the site to decide whether or not to install a new cooling tower pump.  

Led design of $80,000+ emergency safety ventilation project in main chiller room building. Responsibilities included developing 2D and 3D AutoCAD models as well as managing the competitive bidding process with vendors to determine overall cost of the project.

12-week internship with experience across all aspects of the HVAC business, including piping and duct system design, job price estimation, and sales.

Selected by company president to design project specification document and develop AutoCAD drawings for a $1 MM+ project.

Created and implemented a new system for project managers to improve the efficiency of the cost estimation process. This system made it easier for project managers to access required information and reduced the time required for estimation process.

Characterization and testing of PAN/CNF polymer materials using Dynamic Light Scattering and SEM/TEM.

Collected data to draw conclusions about the differences in material properties resulting from different combinations of PAN/CNF polymers.
