I was privileged to be in on the ground floor of Simba Sleep's success. While the company was still in the seed stage, I began researching and testing campaigns that would generate excitement.To put the company on track for growth, I researched and tested campaigns, created custom categories for retargeting and audience building and developed hyper-specific naming conventions.As we found success and discovered the best categories and ads, daily spending on Facebook increased from four figures to five figures. To support Simba Sleep's TV/video ad, we developed, tested and optimized Facebook video ads that produced significant results. As a result of full market penetration, we gained access to Facebook audience categories like Experian and Datalogix that allowed us to target audiences based on spending habits, technology adoption level and more. In the first 7 months after launch, Simba Sleep achieved an ROI of 152% on their Facebook campaigns and are getting more than 350,000 visitors to their site each month. The company is also utilizing Periscope, Facebook Ads Manager, Facebook Power Editor, Pinterest Ads Manager, Smartly, Segment Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager in a comprehensive digital marketing strategy.Now the focus is on raising ROI to 400% through content generation, on-boarding efforts and conversion rate optimization that leverages a loyal customer base while moving into international markets - goals that many companies take years to even approach but will be possible for Simba Sleep in the near future.To round-out my efforts at Simba Sleep, I manage their business intelligence (BI) using Amazon, The Button Snitch, Snowplow and Looker.

LostMy.Name experienced tremendous growth through Facebook ads during their first two years in business but then suffered a setback that left them struggling to maintain that success as they headed into the 2015 holiday season.When I came onboard, spending on Facebook ads had been slashed and the company was only investing in ROI-positive ads - even though they knew this approach was costing them market share.I had two clear objectives: get growth back on track and penetrate international markets in time to capitalize on the fast-approaching holiday season.To do this, I established a set of naming conventions that was adopted throughout the company's Facebook marketing initiatives, I created 3 to 4 new audience segments every week, developed custom audiences for retargeting using lookalikes, interests and video view targeting.In addition to managing LostMy.Name's Facebook campaigns with a team of 5, I assisted in the management of the company's Pinterest and Instagram performance marketing to maximise growth.As a result, the company has achieved 1.7 million in sales and captured markets in 182 countries as of writing this.Finally, I assisted in training an in-house growth team for LostMy.Name to secure their continuted growth and maintain the foundations I developed.

My responsibilities at Upskilled combined content management with marketing strategy design and web development. I developed goals and created and implemented the strategies that allowed the business to meet or exceed those goals.Content ManagementAs part of the daily management of all content on Upskilled’s websites; including: news articles, testimonials, course information, timetables, fee information, blog and videos; I initiated, sourced and tweaked customer-focused, sales-driven copy that reflects the brand’s overall commercial strategy. Research and SEO to ensure each piece of content met its targeted-reach. Marketing Strategy DesignTo support Upskilled’s growth, I developed social media campaigns that increased engagement with prospective and current students, built brand awareness and generated leads. I also supported the Marketing Manager role by monitoring Search Engine Marketing (SEM) performance and providing feedback that improved performance. Development, implementation and monitoring of an Electronic Direct Mail (EDM) strategy from start to finish. Web DevelopmentNegotiated and prioritised the site's applications’ development schedule with an outsource development company. This included ensuring that the website architecture (content classification, navigation and layout) was developed according to Upskilled’s established usability standards.With the bulk of the web development work completed by the vendor, I created landing pages and other website amendments that increased on-page conversions. In addition to managing and augmenting development work, I set annual targets for website traffic, enquiry volume and sales volume. I also identified, monitored and tracked KPIs for each site and conducted sales and market analysis.The success we found through implementation of Oracle’s’ Marketing Cloud is recognized on Oracle’s Success Stories page.
