Josh Wright
Josh Wright is an experienced economist and data science advisor with a diverse background in technology, media, finance, and government. With a career spanning over 15 years, Wright has held executive roles at iCIMS as Chief Economist and has worked for Bloomberg LP and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York as a U.S. economist and senior market & policy analyst, respectively. Wright has also served in United Nations field missions and USAID projects as a press officer and media consultant.
Wright is renowned for his wonkiness, his geekiness, and his insightful commentary on economic trends, which he shares regularly with leading publications and broadcasters across the U.S. He brings a unique perspective to his work, having published on topics like labor, housing, mortgage markets, and monetary policy. On the Liberty Street Economics blog, Wright has written about how much refinancing can reduce the risk of mortgage defaults and why mortgage refinancing is not a zero-sum game.
Wright holds a Bachelor's degree and a summa cum laude B.A. from Yale University, as well as a master's degree in public policy and economics from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government.
