Josh Gartner

Josh Gartner is an experienced communications professional currently serving as the Head of Communications at Cohere AI, a leading provider of AI solutions for enterprises, since July 2023. Before this role, he was the Head of Corporate Communications at TikTok from July 2019 to June 2023, where he managed the company's global corporate reputation and communications strategies.1

Gartner has over a decade of experience in corporate communications and public relations, working with a diverse range of organizations from startups to Fortune 500 companies. His expertise includes crisis management, media strategy, and social media oversight. Prior to his role at TikTok, he held significant positions such as the Vice President of Corporate Affairs at JD.com, where he led global communications, and the Head of Communications at Hillhouse Capital Management.1

He holds a Bachelor's degree in Public Policy Analysis from Duke University and a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA). Additionally, he is proficient in both English and Chinese.1
