He pursued his education in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Biology, earning an Associate of Arts and Sciences degree from Holyoke Community College. Prior to that, he also attended Oliver Ames Highschool.
Joseph has an impressive professional history, having held several significant roles in different organizations. He served as an Assistant Trail Crew Leader at Great Appalachian Valley Conservation Corps and as a Custom Trail Crew and Leave No Trace Leader at Appalachian Mountain Club. Additionally, he worked as a Box Truck Driver/Produce Deliverer at What Cheer Fruit & Produce, an Interpretive Ranger/Trail Worker at Mass Audubon, and a JAG Crew Leader at Appalachian Mountain Club. He also contributed to the Camp Dodge Logistical Support Team at Appalachian Mountain Club, where he honed his skills and expertise.
Furthermore, Joseph showcased his culinary talents by working as a Line Cook at Toasted Owl Tavern and The Tekoa Country Club. He also gained valuable experience as a Student Ambassador at Elms College, demonstrating his ability to engage with the community and represent his institution effectively.
