Jose Soler-Dominguez
VR/AR experiences designer & storytelling / UX + HCI researcher / Serious games
Dr. Jose Luis Soler-Dominguez is a Senior Researcher at ITI (Technological Center for Research, Development, and Innovation in Information and Communication Technologies) specializing in designing experiences, utilizing technologies and data to address complex challenges.
His research focuses on serious games for health and education, RV/AR, immersive art and entertainment, and Human-Computer Interaction. Dr. Soler-Dominguez has been actively involved in lecturing at Florida Universitaria on undergraduate and postgraduate levels since 2008, contributing to various research projects, writing proposals, and participating as a researcher in programs such as LLP, 7FP, and H2020.
Additionally, he is the co-founder of LudumLab, an innovative atelier dedicated to projects on Serious Games & Game-Based Learning, where he applies design and research to enhance people's lives. Dr. Soler-Dominguez is passionate about UX research and Game User Research.
His educational background includes a Bachelor's degree from Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), a Master's degree in Educational Technology and E-learning from Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, certification as a Scrum Master from Colegio Oficial Ingenieros Informática Comunidad Valenciana (COIICV), an auditor certification in SGSI from AENOR, and a PhD in Technologies for Health and Wellness from Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV).
