- Team Lead for BloomReach analytics data platform team.  Team has ownership of all infrastructure and software related to user event processing and data generation (both batch and real-time).  Responsibilities include planning, scoping and executing on all projects within scope of ownership.◆ Led project to unify the analytics backend data and infrastructure across the three BloomReach products (Insights, Organic and Site search).◆ Proposed, designed and was primary engineer real-time data processing infrastructure to power BloomReach personalized search component. Built using open source technologies, Kafka, Spark Streaming, Cassandra and Redis. Project launched on time and received BloomReach engineering excellence award.

Staff Software Engineer

- Team Lead for BloomReach data platform team responsible for developing and maintaining globally available Cassandra cluster running on multiple AWS regions along with services and applications that support scaling data access for both frontend applications and backend pipelines      • Launched globally available Cassandra cluster on AWS.      • Stabilized Cassandra frontend serving infrastructure to provide 99.99% availability guarantees and improved latency Service Level Agreements (SLA) by 50%.      • Scaled Cassandra frontend serving infrastructure by 5X for the holiday season without adding any hardware by optimizing data access techniques and leveraging database features.      • Horizontally scaled Cassandra backend infrastructure at low cost by leveraging AWS spot instances.◆ Extensively contributed to the design and implementation of transparent HTTP proxy to power a paid search landing page optimization product.  Proxy had additional functionality to enhance the landing page experience with targeted widgets, dynamic landing page redirect.

Software developer on Lulu's eCommerce platform.  Contributed extensively to a large effort to replace Lulu's eCommerce engine with the Elasticpath solution.  Worked on a number of integrations with print vendors, distribution partners and payment providers.

Software developer working on Lulu's publishing platform.  Worked on creator tools, including the book publishing wizard, Photobook creator, calendar creator and cookbook creator.  Designed and coordinated implementation of a web service to manage Lulu's distribution products and services.

As a software engineering intern designed and implemented a business intelligence information radiator application.  Retrieved data from Rally Agile Development tool API, Perforce API, PostgreSQL database and Google analytics.  Used Flex charting component to write a tool that displays useful business data.
