Jordan Fruchtman
I create, implement, and scale innovative strategies for organizations at the forefront of community building.
Jordan Fruchtman is the Chief Program Officer at the Lawrence Family Jewish Community Center (LFJCC), Jacobs Family Campus, located in La Jolla, California. He has held this position since October 2022. In his role, Fruchtman is responsible for overseeing various programs and initiatives designed to enhance community engagement and well-being, particularly focusing on older adults and seniors.
One of his notable contributions is the development of Camp Cool Age, a summer camp tailored for seniors, which aims to provide recreational and social activities, fostering connections among participants. This program reflects Fruchtman's understanding of the demographic shifts in the community, as he emphasizes the importance of creating engaging experiences for active adults aged 55 and older.1
Fruchtman also originated the Retirement Academy at LFJCC, a comprehensive program that redefines retirement as a phase of active aging rather than an endpoint. This 10-week course addresses various aspects of health, well-being, and personal fulfillment, encouraging participants to develop a "retirement roadmap" for their future. His approach focuses on building relationships and community among participants, which has led to continued connections after the program's completion.2
Before his tenure at LFJCC, Fruchtman served as the Executive Director at Moishe House, where he was involved in community-building efforts aimed at young adults.3 His experience reflects a commitment to fostering inclusive environments and innovative programming within the Jewish community and beyond.
