John O'Regan, an experienced economist and civil servant, has spent 16 years working in international macroeconomics, financial services policy, bank resolution, regulatory reform, and UK, EU, and international economic policy making. He has expertise in US economic policy and global economic forums, including G20, G7, the Financial Stability Board, and the EU. John studied Politics, Philosophy, and Economics at Oxford University, and has held several senior policy advisory roles, including Senior Policy Advisor at The Department for Exiting the European Union, the European and Global Issues Secretariat - the Cabinet Office, HM Treasury, and First Secretary - Economics at Foreign and Commonwealth Office. He has also previously worked as the Second Secretary, Economics in the British Embassy at Foreign and Commonwealth Office and as an assistant economist at HM Treasury.
