John Murcott

John Murcott is a Solutions Engineer at WordPress VIP, which is part of Automattic, the parent company of WordPress. He has a rich background in product innovation and engineering, having co-founded FatWire Software, where he held various leadership roles before its acquisition by Oracle. Following that, he served as Vice President of Solutions Engineering and Professional Services at WorkMarket, a SaaS platform that was later acquired by ADP.1

Murcott's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in German and Political Science from Tufts University, as well as an MBA from the University of Maryland. His professional journey reflects a strong focus on developing solutions that enhance user experiences in web content management and enterprise software.12
