John Hamilton

John Hamilton is a highly educated individual with a diverse background in Astronomy and Physics. He holds a Master of Science in Astronomy from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, a Bachelor of Science with honors in Physics, and a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Astronomy from The University of Texas at Austin. John also attended Aiea High School.
John has been actively involved in various organizations throughout his career. He is currently an Affiliate Faculty member at the Department of Physics & Astronomy. Previously, he served as the Senior Scientist Group Lead at PAaR (Planetary Astrogeology and Robotics) at the University of Hawai`i at Hilo. John also held positions such as Instructor in Physics & Astronomy at the University of Hawaii - Hilo, Test Logistics and EPO Manager at PISCES - Pacific International Space Center for Exploration Systems, Acting Director, Deputy Director, Lead Systems Support Specialist at Gemini Observatory, Sr. Observing Assistant, Operator, and Research Associate at Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope Corporation.
