John Cook
John Cook is a name known for being one of the co-founders of GeekWire, an online news site and community established in the heart of the Pacific Northwest. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in History from Gettysburg College and completed his studies at Wooster High School. His career in journalism began when he was working as a correspondent at Akron Beacon Journal, and afterward, he worked as a reporter for Eastside Journal before becoming a technology reporter at Seattle Post-Intelligencer. Later on, he co-founded Techflash before deciding to focus on GeekWire.
Cook's expertise in technology reporting has been finely honed over the years, and his experience as a reporter and correspondent allowed him to be a more in-depth, knowledgeable journalist. By co-founding GeekWire, he built a platform that would enable Pacific Northwest tech companies to get the exposure they deserved. His passion for the job is evident by the quality of his reporting and the achievements of GeekWire, which is now a widely respected news source on a national scale.
