Johan Alfsen

Johan Alfsen is the Senior Director of Training at K2 Systems US & MX, a position he has held since January 2022. Based in Carlsbad, California, he focuses on solar racking and mounting systems, working closely with engineers and solar installers to enhance industry best practices through product design, innovation, and technical training.1

Professional Background

Before his current role, Alfsen served as the Senior Director of Product Marketing at K2 Systems from October 2018 to January 2022. In this capacity, he managed the marketing department and supported the sales team while also contributing to product training and development. Prior to joining K2 Systems, he spent nearly 12 years at Quick Mount PV, where he was the Director of Training and Technical Services. There, he developed training programs for solar installers and collaborated with product engineers to create effective solutions for the industry.1

Education and Interests

Alfsen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Sustainability & Social Justice from San Francisco State University (2006-2008). Outside of his professional life, he enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, mountain biking, and motorcycling. He is also a member of a local rock band called Northerner.1
