Joel Edman is an attorney and policy wonk with a passion for strengthening democracy and democratic institutions. He obtained his Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Harvard Law School and completed his undergraduate studies in Political Science, History, and Philosophy, Politics, and Law at Arizona State University.
Edman has a broad range of experience in the legal and political arenas. He has worked as a law clerk for both the U.S. District Court of Arizona and the Arizona Supreme Court, as well as a legal intern for various organizations such as the ACLU Immigrants' Rights Project and the Florence Immigrant and Refugee Rights Project.
Furthermore, Edman has served as the Director of Political and Field Operations for David Lujan for Attorney General and Deputy Campaign Manager for Hermes for Supervisor. He has also worked as a Co-Director for Communications at the Arizona Democracy Resource Center and as the Director of the Arizona Advocacy Network and Foundation.
