Joe Wood

Joe Wood is a dedicated law enforcement professional with a wealth of experience spanning various roles within the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office.

Starting his career as a Detention Officer at the County Jail in 2007, he has steadily progressed through the ranks to hold positions such as S.R.O., Corporal, and currently serving as a Sergeant since 2021.

His extensive involvement within the Sheriff's Office includes serving as the OCSO Reserve Division supervisor, OCSO Honor Guard supervisor, and leading the OCSO Gang Intelligence Unit.

Joe's commitment to training and education is evident through his various certifications including NRA Pistol and Shotgun Instructor, F.T.O. Instructor, and Reserve Academy Instructor, among others.

He is a knowledgeable and skilled professional in firearms, having certifications in advanced auto pistol, advanced shotgun, patrol rifle, and basic N.A.S.R.O.

Joe Wood's educational background includes studying Law Enforcement at Central on Law Enforcement Education and Training (C.L.E.E.T.), complemented by his high school education.
