Joan Malloy

Joan Malloy is a seasoned professional in urban planning and landscape architecture. She has a Masters's degree in Urban Planning from the University of Michigan and a BA in Landscape Architecture from the University of Oregon. With over 10 years of experience in the public sector, Joan has served as the Director of Economic and Community Development and City Manager at the City of Union City. Prior to that, she worked as a planner and landscape architect at the same municipality.

In her role as the City Manager, Joan oversees and leads the strategic planning, budgeting, and implementation of policies and programs aimed at improving Union City's quality of life. She provides leadership to staff and ensures effective management of all city operations while promoting transparency and accountability. Her experience in economic and community development has allowed her to understand the complex challenges that cities face when it comes to economic growth, job creation, and community engagement.
