Joan Fiesta

Joan Fiesta is the Director of the Victim Services Unit at the University of Chicago Police Department (UCPD).12 In her role, she leads efforts to support victims and witnesses of serious crimes within the campus community and the surrounding South Side area.3

As part of her responsibilities, Joan Fiesta:

1. Oversees the UCPD's dedicated Victims and Witness Services Unit, which was launched to provide support and resources to those affected by crime.3

2. Teaches an empowering program to women in the community aimed at combating sexual violence, both as an advocate for understanding and in their personal lives.2
