Joan Farre-Mensa

Joan Farre-Mensa is an Associate Professor and Interim Department Head of the Finance Department at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC).12 He is also the Bielinksi Family Faculty Scholar at UIC.2 His research and teaching interests focus on entrepreneurial and corporate finance.2

As of 2024, Farre-Mensa is working on research projects related to the Qualified Small Business Stock Exemption, startup acquisitions' effects on inventor productivity, and the prevalence of financial constraints in the U.S.2
