Jim Griffin is a seasoned media technologist with expertise in digital media, particularly music, and its effective monetization. With a vast experience spanning decades, Jim is the founder and moderator of the Pho list - one of the global communities for digital music and media. He is a proficient writer for magazines, scholarly journals, occasional keynote speaker, and expert witness equipped with specialized knowledge in digital strategies, digital operations, negotiations, expert witness, authorship, speaking, and lecturing.
Jim's academic background includes being trained in Northern Virginia Community College and the University of Kentucky majoring in Teaching Copyright, Rich East HS, and the University of Pittsburgh. He has served in various capacities including as VP Digital Rights at Pex, as a copyright law professor at Northern Virginia Community College, and as an advisor to the Director of Copyrights at the World Intellectual Property Organization (United Nations).
In addition to his professional pursuits, Jim is a former columnist at Business 2.0 and has held various other high-profile positions in the media and music industry.
