Jim Barnum

Jim Barnum has a diverse background with notable experiences in skatepark design, skateboarding organizations, and community initiatives. He holds educational credentials from Emily Carr University and Capilano College.

With a strong footing in design, Jim has contributed significantly to the skateboarding industry, having served as a Senior Designer, Project Manager, and Owner at various skatepark design companies like New Line Skateparks and Spectrum Skateparks Inc. He also co-founded Spectrum Skatepark Creations Ltd., showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit.

Jim's involvement in the skateboarding community extends to his role as the Board of Directors - Custodian of Stoke at Canada Skateboard and his previous membership in the Canadian Amateur Skateboard Association. His passion for the sport is evident through his various engagements in promoting skateboarding at a national level.

Beyond skateboarding, Jim has demonstrated a commitment to personal and spiritual growth through his past involvement as a Co-Facilitator in related groups. Additionally, his dedication to community well-being is highlighted by his roles as the Founder of the Coalition for a Healthy Community and as a Managing Partner at Virgin Snowboards.

Jim Barnum's professional journey also includes a tenure as a Board Member at the BC Snowboard Association - Sports BC, emphasizing his diverse interests and contributions across multiple sports and recreational activities.
