Jilo Tisdale holds a Master of Education (MEd) in Literacy, Language and Culture from the University of Michigan's Rackham Graduate School. Additionally, they completed a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Comparative Literature, Creative Writing, and African American Studies at Northwestern University.
Throughout their career, Jilo Tisdale has held significant positions in multiple prestigious organizations. They served as the Director of Bonner Office of Civic Engagement at Spelman College and as the Senior Director of Education at United Way of Greater Atlanta.
In addition, Jilo Tisdale has worked as a Program Management Consultant at the Annie E. Casey Foundation in the Atlanta Civic Site and as a Program Coordinator at Mechanicsville Community Learning Collaborative (MCLC) with Enterprise Community Partners.
