Jess Price

Jess Price is a 3rd year Law student at the University of Huddersfield, pursuing a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) with a predicted 2:1. She also engages in the Masters of Law and Practice program concurrently. Jess has gained practical experience as a Student Legal Advisor at the Universities Legal Advice Clinic and through work experience at Tuckers Solicitors, focusing on criminal law and court procedures. Her interests lie in Tax Law, International Law, and Personal Injury Law. She founded 'Legally Minded Mentors,' a mentorship scheme organizing networking events for A-Level & GCSE students to facilitate their transition to university networking and provide application assistance.

Outside academia, Jess is deeply involved in extracurricular activities, holding leadership roles in the Law Society as Co-President, Ramsden Club, Cheerleading, and the Enactus Society as a social secretary. She also works as a Customer Team Leader at the Co-Op, where she manages cash handling, resolves conflicts, and oversees various operational tasks.

Jess's educational background includes A Levels in Law, English Language, and Psychology from Rochdale Sixth Form, as well as GCSEs from Oulder Hill High School with exceptional results.

Her professional experience expands across multiple roles such as Campus Ambassador at Legally Speaking Podcast, Academic Representative at The University of Huddersfield, Student Advisor at Huddersfield Law Clinic, and various leadership positions at Co-op. She has contributed as a Content Writer at The Student Lawyer and held internships at organizations like LawyerUp and Bright Network. Jess's commitment to legal advocacy is evident through her engagements with organizations such as FirstGens, URBAN LAWYERS (UL), and her participation in initiatives like the Coronavirus Tutoring Initiative. She has a versatile background in commercial law, finance, and has completed a Vacation Scheme at Legal Cheek.
