Jeremy Avins
Clean energy workforce and manufacturing
Jeremy Avins is a professional with extensive experience in workforce development and clean energy initiatives. He previously held the position of Supervisory Program Manager of DOE's Industrial Assessment Centers (IACs) in the Office of Manufacturing and Energy Supply Chains at the U.S. Department of Energy.2 In this role, he oversaw programs aimed at expanding high-quality energy efficiency and energy management job pathways while strengthening small- and medium-sized manufacturers.2
Avins managed workforce development programs in the DOE's Office of Manufacturing and Energy Supply Chains, where he was responsible for overseeing Bipartisan Infrastructure Law-supported initiatives to build the next-generation clean energy and manufacturing workforce.1 He was involved in implementing a $54 million expansion of the IAC program, which aimed to establish new centers and Building Training and Assessment Centers at community colleges, trade schools, union training programs, and higher education institutes.23
Prior to his work at the DOE, Avins held positions at various organizations, including:

Avins has a strong educational background, holding master's degrees from Stanford University and Harvard Kennedy School, as well as a bachelor's degree from Yale University.1
As of February 26, 2025, Jeremy Avins has recently joined Arnold Ventures as the Vice President of Career Education and Training.4 In this new role, he will focus on identifying and expanding programs and policies that improve access to good jobs, meaningful careers, and economic mobility.4
