Jennifer Lawson is currently the President of Innovation at Points of Light, an international nonprofit dedicated to enhancing civic engagement and volunteerism. In her role, she leads initiatives that help organizations achieve their social change goals through employee involvement and corporate partnerships. This includes overseeing programs like the Civic 50, which ranks the most community-minded companies in the U.S. and promotes corporate social responsibility.
Before her current position, Lawson served as the Chief Civic Innovation Officer at Points of Light, where she developed innovative strategies to engage businesses and communities in social impact efforts. Her career also includes significant experience in environmental advocacy; she previously led global campaigns at the Pew Center on Global Climate Change and worked on sustainability initiatives at The Nature Conservancy.
Lawson holds a degree in Philosophy and Mathematics from the University of Virginia and has a strong background in community development, having founded the Alliance for Housing Solutions in Northern Virginia. Her leadership is characterized by a commitment to fostering collaboration between nonprofits and corporations to drive meaningful change in society.
