Jennifer Jang

Jennifer Jang is a highly accomplished software engineer and entrepreneur with extensive experience in the tech industry. She worked at Waymo as a Staff Software Engineer from January 2023 to September 2023, and as a Senior Software Engineer from October 2020 to December 2022.1 Her responsibilities at Waymo included architecting systems for planner evaluation, leading ML-based risk detection model development, and heading a team focused on cyclist safety improvements.1

Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science & Math and a Master of Engineering in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).1 Her career also includes roles at Uber as a Data Scientist, where she worked on the Uber Eats platform and the Experimentation Platform.1

Currently, Jennifer is the Co-Founder and CTO of Fundify AI (also referred to as GrantScout in some sources), a company focused on making government funding more efficient using AI.13 She is part of the HF0 Batch 3 program.1

Jennifer has a strong background in machine learning research, with several publications in prestigious conferences such as CVPR, NeurIPS, and ICML.12 Her research interests include unsupervised learning and artificial intelligence sustainability.2

Outside of her professional work, Jennifer is involved in figure skating, making clothes, and photography.2 She also runs a figure skating fan forum called Planet Hanyu.2
