Leading product engineering team, prototyping new technologies for creating and piloting new services and business models. Open innovation with NAVE, our corporate accelerator for startups and scaleups in the TMT sector. Innovation consulting and co-creation services for Alestra customers. Responsible for fostering the innovation culture throughout the organization with practices such as design thinking, lean startup, product design sprints, foresight. Driving the digital transformation strategy within Axtel & Alestra.

Director of Innovation and Strategic Partnerships

Defining the vision and strategy for the use of technology to build the platforms that support all products and services the company offers to end customers, from consumers and small businesses, to large enterprises and government institutions. The role requires exploring, testing, prototyping, selecting, certifying, acquiring, implementing, delivering and supporting all technology platforms including voice, data, video, mobile, access, information technology, managed services and the evolution towards new technologies and opportunities.

Chief Technology Officer

Head of AXTEL IPTV service (Linear, VOD, OTT):
- Content strategy and content acquisition for Linear Pay TV channels and VoD content with movie studios and content aggregators.
- Product strategy, user experience, functionality, user interface and evolution.
- P&L, commercial strategy, pricing, offers and promotions, marketing strategy and partnerships, advertising and communications, operations supervision.
- Product Leader and Project Director from inception to launch to operations.

IPTV Product Director

Design and creation of new products, services and business models. Managing a team of highly creative and diverse individuals, focusing on the idea generation process.  

- Created and launched AXTEL TV, our new Pay TV service built with IPTV technology over our FTTH network. Responsible for product strategy, commercial strategy, content acquisition, project leadership.
- Project director and creation of our new WiFi Metro network, covering more than a 1,000 hotspots with high speed fiber.
- Collaborated on the creation of our broadband FTTH service, the first in Mexico, and the fastest with speeds of up to 200 Mbps.
- Created AXTEL Labs, a new group of software engineers for the development of mobile apps, and new user experiences.
- Created and launched AXTEL Conmigo, a VoIP service with apps for iOS, Android, Blackberry, WinMo, Symbian, MacOS, Windows.
- Created and launched enterprise services such as Unified Communications, IP PBX and AXTEL's Security Operations Center.
- Creation of AXTEL’s social media strategy, which includes corporate blog, tech news blog, podcast, Twitter and Facebook.

Director of Product Innovation

Defining and implementing market strategies for the Strategic Accounts Business Unit, which provides to corporate, financial and government customers.  In charge of commercial strategy, product management, product innovation, market intelligence, public relations, marketing communications, marketing process.

Marketing Director

Managing AXTEL’s whole product and service portfolio for the enterprise market.  In charge of the product life cycle, as well as new product creation, and project implementation. 
Evangelist within AXTEL for the company’s vision and strategy.  In 2006, I visited the company’s offices in most locations in order to present to all employees the Vision for 2010, dubbed as AXTEL 2.0.  This was a presentation I drafted and created with the CEO.

Head of Product Management

AXTEL started operations in 1999, and I was in charge of creating and launching AXTEL’s Internet services, including an alliance with Yahoo! in which our Internet access service was “fortified with Yahoo”. I had the chance of meeting founder Jerry Yang and bringing him to Mexico for the press conference.

Product Manager - Internet Services

Created the Internet Technologies Department, for service creation and consulting for customers.

Started the first Internet consulting offerings for the company, which was an IT startup / spinoff from Cemex, one of the world’s leading cement companies.  Design and creation of Cemex’s web presence and intranet strategies.

CEMTEC (Neoris)

Internet/Intranet Consultant

Built the ISP from the ground up.  A startup from Cablevision, this was the first Cable ISP in Latin America, and I was the first employee hired to create the service.  Our small team was practically in charge of everything, from technical operations, to marketing and service support.

InterCable - Cablevision Monterrey

This startup was the first commercial ISP in Monterrey, and one of the first in Mexico.
