Jen Shen
Quant UX Researcher at Google
Jen Shen is an accomplished researcher and data scientist who is making her mark in the tech industry. She has a strong passion for understanding and structuring ambiguous problems and transforming messy data into meaningful insights that help create innovative products and user experiences. Shen is the founder of two mission-driven organizations, DISI Duke and Gritcube. Her skills in problem-solving, empathy, and communication make her an excellent collaborator within and beyond her professional circles. With a Ph.D. in Public Policy from Duke University, an M.S. in Economics from Tufts University, and a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania, Shen has a vast academic background that informs her data-driven approach. Shen has experience as a Quantitative UX Researcher at Google, Health Economist at Springbuk, Research Fellow at Rock Health, Health Policy Fellow at UCSF, and Associate Intern at Industrial Economics. She primarily uses R and SQL as her tools of choice.
