Jeffrey McKinney
Jeffrey McKinney is an experienced intellectual property lawyer with over ten years of experience practicing primarily in Silicon Valley. He earned his law degree at Stanford Law School, where he was a Brown and Bain High Technology fellow, and holds a Ph.D. in chemistry from Ohio State University. Prior to law school, he worked as a scientist for Zeneca Pharmaceuticals (now AstraZeneca) and performed postdoctoral work at Stanford University as a National Institutes of Health postdoctoral fellow. Across his career, Mr. McKinney has worked in private practice at Morrison & Foerster LLP and Townsend Townsend & Crew, Palo Alto, and has served as Chief Patent Counsel for a publicly traded company. In addition to his legal work, Mr. McKinney writes and lectures frequently, and has published articles in the National Law Journal, various newspapers, and the Journal of the American Chemical Society. He is also a listed inventor on seven U.S. patents.
