Cyber Security SaaS start up firm focused on protecting the data itself and making data unusable to hackers from ransomware attacks. Brought in by existing investors for fundraising and building out the business.  Participated in the seed round and provided advisory services to the company prior to joining. A key individual in the series A funding process.  

Managed strategic and tactical efforts for all departments from building the teams to driving an integrated plan including  - GTM for sales, marketing and partners to software development, finance/HR, and client success/support.  

Continue to be engaged as an investor and advisor to the company.

Calamu Technologies

President and COO

At Traliant, an online compliance SaaS training solution, I spearheaded the strategic growth initiatives that significantly contributed to the company’s success and eventual acquisition by Providence Equity in December 2020. Traliant was ranked #13 on the Deloitte 2020 Technology Fast 500, and we served over 7,000 clients across various geographies and industries, helping organisations create inclusive cultures.

Key Achievements:

▪️ A key team member as the company went through a successful exit, culminating in its acquisition by Providence Equity.

▪️ Played a pivotal role as the company grew to  #13 ranking on the Deloitte 2020 Technology Fast 500.

Responsibilities:

▪️ Strategic GTM Initiatives:  Led initiatives to drive growth, including building the partner/channel program, creating strategic account sales teams, and developing new marketing strategies to drive lead generation.

▪️Revenue Retention: Focused on driving net revenue retention within the firm’s largest client, leveraging e-commerce for specific market segments, and championed the  introduction of  new product offerings to the market.

▪️ Acquisition Process: Actively involved throughout the acquisition process, ensuring a smooth transition and continued growth.

During my tenure, I was dedicated to addressing and changing behaviours related to preventing sexual harassment and discrimination and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion through effective online compliance training.

Chief Growth Officer

Valiant Solutions, Inc., a Payroll/HCM SaaS firm, specializes in delivering Payroll, Human Resources, and Time Labor Management solutions to the hourly workforce market. 

I was brought in by the board of directors and a Private Equity firm to transition the team and mature its integrated plans across product roadmap execution, sales/marketing, and business development. 

Leading an experienced team and managing relationships with 1500+ clients, I oversaw all aspects of product development, sales, marketing, and partner strategy, including new strategic partner efforts, and client retention strategies. 

I worked closely with the board on growth plans while implementing financial governance initiatives to address client churn issues and enhance client services. I focused on stabilizing and steering the company toward a more mature and integrated operational plan during this critical transition period.

Valiant Solutions, Inc.

Interim Chief Executive Officer

I relaunched and built RightAnswers from a niche content provider into a leading global SaaS enterprise software firm focused on Search (NLP/Machine Learning) and Knowledge Management Applications for Customer Service and IT Support. We achieved a successful exit with an acquisition by Upland Software in 2017, while actively supporting the transition process.

Key achievements included:
Raising Series A venture capital,  expanding to 20 countries, and transitioning from a perpetual model to SaaS model
Grew client base to 500 enterprise clients in the Global 2000 market, 
70% US and 30% international business distribution.

I led the integrated strategy across product development,  sales, business development, and marketing, securing key partnerships with ServiceNow, Salesforce, and others.  We established a 95% renewal rate, impressive net promoter rating and collaborative relationship worldwide with clients and partners.  Established strong programs with clients via committees,  user conferences and focused workshop sessions.

President and CEO

Startup Management Consulting Firm working with Venture Funds to maximize results for their portfolio companies.   

•	Coached existing CEO/founders/C levels in the portfolio firms on their strategic and tactical plans 
•	Assumed CMO/CRO roles in portfolio firms focused on addressing near term challenges while developing longer term business models for the portfolio firm to grow
•	Part of the due diligence process around new investment opportunities 
•	Developed and conducted education and training session for the portfolio firms executives around a broad range of topics
•	Part of the Partners Weekly Meeting to give insight into the portfolio firms we supported

Compass Technology Group

From the Strategic Network Designs acquisition transitioned into this role

•	Public software (500M market cap) and IT services company focused on web consumer facing applications and IT infrastructure solutions 
•	Led the various teams and managed the $4M marketing and Business Development budget 
•	Developed strategies and plans aligned to the solution and sales organizations - Including all lead generation. messaging, product positioning and sales enablement programs across a senior 35 person enterprise sales organization  
•	Partnered with Forrester and Gartner on marketing programs, message creation, and acquisition opportunities.

ePresence

VP of Marketing, Business Development and Sales Operations

Acquired by ePRESENCE May 2001 in a successful exit

•	Brought in by the founders to grow the business, develop and build the company’s sales and marketing strategy, teams and position the firm for an exit 
•	Company had plateaued its sales - Revamped its positioning, go to market strategy, sales focus, lead generation, sales enablement and solution road map 
•	Grew the firm in the period from $3M annual sales to $15M.  
•	Transitioned team into a Mobile/CRM Application/Systems Integrator focused in the pharmaceutical industry 
•	Led the acquisition process from selecting investment banker through the eventual acquisition -   Updata Capital led the process

•	A leader in help desk software for the mid to large market
•	Company grew from 20M to 60M before being acquired
•	Started the West Coast Regional office that included a sales team, consultants and implementation team and that drove $5M in new sales client. 
•	Hired 15 new sales people in a 4 month period
•	Oversaw the sales and client relationship of 500 new and existing clients. 
•	Created the on-boarding and enablement programs for new remote sales hires
