Jeff Lemberg

Jeff Lemberg is the Executive Director of the Newton Food Pantry, having taken on this role as the organization's first full-time leader starting January 2, 2024. His appointment reflects the pantry's significant growth and the need for dedicated leadership to ensure its sustainability and expansion.

Lemberg has a robust background in nonprofit management and fundraising. He previously served as the Director of Development for the One Love Foundation, which focuses on preventing domestic violence through education. Before that, he was the Executive Director of Boys for the Better, a nonprofit that promotes media literacy and social-emotional learning among boys. His experience also includes supporting low-income veterans and teaching communications at various universities, including Curry College and the University of Maryland.123

Lemberg holds a Ph.D. in public communications and journalism. He is committed to promoting access to nutritious food as a fundamental human right and emphasizes the importance of food in connecting cultures and communities.24
