Responsible for fundraising including grant writing, major donor development and corporate solicitation; implementation of advocacy, lobbying and electoral activities; media communications; and representation of the agency and constituency on numerous boards and multi-issue coalitions.

Development and implementation of diverse fundraising activities for a non-profit mental health counseling, training and prevention institute.  Specific duties include major donor development; coordination of donor recognition events; management of special events; and grant research.  Additional responsibilities include advising Executive Director and Board on governance issues; representing agency on local planning bodies; assisting with agency communications efforts; serving as a government affairs manager and advocate to promote the issue of mental health in government sponsored programs.

Led successful lobbying and advocacy efforts at expanding state funding for HIV services from $300,000 to over $12 million in a four year period.  Led numerous grassroots coalition efforts on HIV and social justice issues.
